Megan Thee Stallion Reveals Anime-Inspired Rainbow Manicure — See Photos

There’s no denying that Megan Thee Stallion has an affinity for both nail art and all things anime. In fact, she’s even combined her love for the two by wearing a nail set featuring artwork from the anime series Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. Once again, the “Thot Shit” singer is nailing it with her latest set that clearly pays homage to kawaii pop culture.

On Saturday, July 17, the singer-songwriter posted three pictures accompanied by the caption, “New $et.” Fans were amazed at the artistry behind this set that one fan even commented, “We need the tech.” As pointed out by the fan, Megan did not tag the nail artist behind her latest set, but whoever they are, they absolutely crushed it.

I must confess that I’m a lifelong Hello Kitty fan and more recently a Takashi Murakami art enthusiast, so naturally, I could definitely tell that these nails were inspired by Japanese kawaii pop culture. For starters, a plastic rendition of Hello Kitty’s head is placed smack dab in the middle of one of her pink nails. Of course, all the bright colors scream kawaii, and we can’t forget the fact that all the nails are embellished with visions of cuteness such as little rhinestones, bows, and even ice creams.

If you need a sign to go get your nails done, then let this be it. Take a page from Megan’s (and her nail tech’s) book and just go all out with your next set. Whether it’s trying out multiple colors or experimenting with a new shape, go for it. This past year has taught us to take nothing for granted, and with the world beginning to open up again, why not celebrate by treating yourself to an extravagant set of nails? It’s not called the “Roaring Twenties” for nothing.
