From giving her daughter Kaavia a lesson in skin acceptance to going for the big chop, Gabrielle Union has had many moments of showing the world she’s not just a cool mom, but a hot mom as well. On Saturday, September 25, Union was once again radiating with hot mom energy while wearing some cobalt blue eye shadow.
She showed off the dazzling eye makeup look in an Instagram carousel consisting of both photos and a video. Union and her husband, Dwyane Wade, got all dressed up to attend the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Gala, per the caption on Union’s post. In each of the photos and videos, Union takes on a variety of poses in a black see-through dress while standing next to her husband in a verdant setting.
The actor clearly knows that the eye shadow is the moment, so she made a few poses that involved looking down and closing her eyes, giving her fans all those angles on those decadent eyelids. Union’s cobalt blue eye shadow look was complemented by a set of sparkly earrings and an ornate neck piece, demonstrating that more really can be more when it comes to pairing fancy makeup and with even fancier accessories.
Sir John was the makeup artist responsible for blessing our eyes (and Union’s lids, of course) with this cobalt blue shadow. Besides Union tagging him in her post, he also posted the video and photos to his Instagram, but he didn’t provide any of the details behind the look. Regardless of what he reached for to accomplish this beat, Union’s eye shadow was really having a main character moment here.
