Josephine Cosmetics Eye Dazzle Is the Key to Quick Eye Makeup — Review

I tend to prefer powder to liquid eye shadows because sometimes liquid formulas can be tricky. However, the Joséphine Cosmetics’ Eye Dazzle, soon won me over.

I tried the glittery rose-gold shade, Leona, which turns into a lighter blush hue on the lids, so fI opted for a neutral smokey look. Whenever I do my eye makeup, I always start by applying concealer, usually a shade two to three times lighter than my foundation, on my whole lid and then setting it with a translucent powder.

I blended the Fenty Beauty Sun Stalk’r Instant Warmth Bronzer in Mocha Mami into my crease and the outer corners of my eyes. Then, it was time to apply Leona on my entire lid. Prior to this look, I got to play around with the formula a little bit. I tested it using my fingers (something I rarely do), and I decided a flat eye shadow brush would work the best.

Using the doe foot applicator on the product, I swiped a bit of product on my eye before diffusing it with the flat brush, and I repeated the process until I felt it adequately covered my eyes. To keep the edges neat, I blended more of that warm brown bronzer into the crease and outer corners. I took a deeper chocolate-brown shadow and focused it on the outer corner and halfway through my lower lash line. To finish the look, I added a gold shimmer in my inner corner and some mascara to lengthen my lashes.

The finished look was a gorgeous smokey eye full of shimmer. While I don’t think liquid eye shadows will completely replace my love for powder, the Joséphine Cosmetics’ Eye Dazzle made me rethink my commitment to the powdery formulas.
