Zoom is Lifting its 40-Minute Time Limit for the Holidays So the World Can Spend Time With Loved Ones

Whether you’re planning to get closer with your friends for a festive virtual game of Scrabble or want to connect with the family to unwrap Christmas presents together, there’s no need to worry about the free video call you’re getting after 40 minutes.

As a token of appreciation to its users for an extraordinary time, Zoom is remove the 40 minute limit on free accounts for all meetings globally for various upcoming special occasions.

Whether meeting on the last day of Hanukkah, celebrating Christmas, ringing in the New Year, or marking the last days of Kwanzaa, those connecting with friends and family will not be interrupted.

Here are the dates and times for unlimited meetings:

  • 10 a.m. ET on Thursday, December 17 to 6 a.m. ET on Saturday, December 19
  • 10 a. Wednesday, December 23 to 6 a.m. ET M. ET on Saturday, December 26
  • 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday, December 30 to 6 a.m. ET on Saturday, January 2

You do not need to do anything to remove the limit; it will be automatically deleted during these designated times.
