Here’s your weekly horoscope …

FREE WILL ASTROLOGY – Week beginning August 20, 2021
Copyright by Rob Brezsny,

VIRGO (from August 23 to September 22):
Author Katherine Mansfield once told her friend Virginia Woolf, “You put me in touch with my own soul.” I’m sorry that Mansfield didn’t have that precious connection earlier, but I’m glad Woolf helped her achieve it. In the coming weeks, I hope you find a host of influences like Woolf – people, animals, places, and experiences that can bring you into a more intimate contact with your soul. I hope you make the most of it.

LIBRA (from September 23 to October 22):
At the age of 70, Libra novelist Magda Szabó He reflected: “Now I know, what I did not know then, that affection cannot always be expressed in a calm, orderly and articulated way; and that one cannot prescribe the form it should take for anyone else. “In that spirit, Libra, and in accordance with astrological omens, I authorize you to express affection in a lively, rebellious and demonstrative way. Allow yourself to be playfully imaginative, exuberantly revealing and lively animated while showing people and animals that you appreciate the nature of your feelings for them.

ESCORPION (from October 23 to November 21):
Do you Scorpios lie to yourself more than other signs lie to themselves? Are they especially prone to undermining themselves through self-deception? I do not believe it. However, you may be among the signs most likely to mislead or mislead other people. (But here’s a caveat: Sometimes your deception has a good cause, because it serves the needs of the majority, not just yourself.) In any case, dear Scorpio, I will ask you to minimize all that behavior during the the next five weeks. I believe that your success will depend on your being exceptionally honest and genuine, both with yourself and with others.

SAGITTARIUS (from November 22 to December 21):
“I like being broken,” says Sagittarius actor Jamie Campbell Bower. “It means I can have chocolate for breakfast.” I guess when you feel depressed, you give yourself special permission to enjoy extra prizes and privileges. Based on my assessment of astrological omens, you are now entitled to similar permission, although I don’t expect you to feel devastated or depressed. Think of it as a reward for the brave work you’ve been doing lately. Enjoy this chocolate grace period!

CAPRICORN (from December 22 to January 19):
Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972) was a Jewish theologian born under the sign of Capricorn. He wrote: “Indifference to the sublime wonder of living is the root of sin.” That is a different definition of sin than what we are used to! To be a moral person, Heschel believed, you must be “radically in awe” by the glories of creation. I hope you cultivate that attitude in the coming weeks, Capricorn. It would be a mistake to take things for granted awkwardly. I challenge you to cultivate as much awe, reverence, and adoration as you can.

AQUARIUS (from January 20 to February 18):
A blogger calling herself Hopeful Melancholy wrote a message to her lover. She said, “My favorite position is the one where you work on your paintings and I work on my book, but we are in the same room and occasionally we smile at each other.” You may want to consider trying experiments comparable to that one in the next few weeks, Aquarius. The time will be fertile for you and your dear allies to work hand in hand; to cheer and encourage each other; to explore new ways to cultivate companionship and mutual care.

PISCES (February 19 to March 20):
Dick Dudley was a 17th century con man. Among his many victims was the Pope. Dudley offered for sale an item that he claimed was a divine relic: a piece of the beard of Saint Peter, founder of the Roman Catholic Church. The Pope paid Dudley a small fortune for the treasure and kissed him copiously. Only later did the full story emerge: the so-called beard was in fact a wig. I hope you don’t get involved in changes like that soon, Pisces. Make sure the goods or services you are receiving and offering, for that matter, are exactly what they are supposed to be.

ARIES (March 21 to April 19):
Here are examples of activities that I recommend you try in the next few days. 1. Build a bonfire on the beach with friends and delight in stories of your most interesting success stories. 2. Buy eccentric treasures at a flea market and refer to them as your sacred icons. 3. Climb up a hill and sit on the grass while singing your favorite songs and watching the moon (this full night) slowly rise over the eastern horizon. 4. Take naps when “you’re not supposed to.” 5. Tell a loved one a fairy tale in which he or she is the hero.

TAURUS (from April 20 to May 20):
The popular American television sitcom 30 Rock produced 138 episodes in seven seasons. At the height of his success, he racked up an average of 9.57 pranks in every minute. Its comedic richness derives in large part from the talented Taurus star Tina Fey, who created the show and played one of its main characters. She was also a writer and executive producer. I propose that we make her your role model in the coming weeks. According to my projections, you are entering a charismatic, exuberant and creative phase of your astrological cycle. It’s time to be generous with the parts of your life that need big happy doses of release and release.

GEMINI (from May 21 to June 20):
I received an email from a Gemini reader named Jaylah. She wrote: “Hi, I’m not sure if you remember me, but in our past lives, you and I used to write sacred cuneiform texts on clay tablets while sitting across from each other in a cave in Mesopotamia 4,910 years ago. Your name was Nabu. Mine was Tashmetu. I was always a bit jealous because you were making more money than me, but that didn’t get in the way of our friendship. Anyway, if you ever want to catch up on old times, give me a shout-out. “I loved getting this question from a soul I may have met in a previous incarnation. And what he did by approaching me turns out to be the kind The perfect activity for you, Gemini right now. The secrets of your history may be more readily available than usual. The past may have new stories to tell. A resource from yesteryear could prove valuable in the future.

CANCER (from June 21 to July 22):
Born in cancer Franz kafka He was an interesting writer and a teacher of language. But even for him, it could be a challenge to convey what he really meant. He said: “I am constantly trying to communicate something incommunicable, to explain something inexplicable, to tell something that I only feel in my bones and that can only be experienced in those bones.” Now here’s the good news, as far as you are concerned Cancer: I suspect that in the coming weeks you will have more power than usual to do exactly what Kafka aspired to do. You will be able to gather more ease and grace in expressing your truths. I invite you to be a connoisseur of deep conversations.

LEO (July 23 to August 22):
“If we wait until we are ready, we will be waiting the rest of our lives,” declared the novelist. Lemony snicket. This is good advice to follow right now. I really hope you avoid the temptation to wait for the perfect moment before starting. In my vision of your best approach, you will dive into the future without trying to finalize all your plans and gather all your assets. Hope you get the rest of what you need once the process is up and running.
