FREE WILL ASTROLOGY – Week beginning February 5, 2021

AQUARIUS (from January 20 to February 18):
Aquarius Author Alice walker writes: “In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can contort, bend in strange ways, and they are still beautiful. “In the coming weeks, I hope you will take that mindset and apply it to all aspects of your perfectly imperfect body, mind, and soul. I hope you will also give the same generous blessing to the rest of the world. It is always wise to cultivate this attitude, of course, but it will be especially transformative for you in the weeks to come. Time to celebrate your magnificent idiosyncrasies and eccentricities.

PISCES (from February 19 to March 20):
“Although the bamboo forest is dense, water flows freely through it.” I offer that Zen saying just in time for you to adopt it as your metaphor for power. No matter how dense, complicated and impassable the terrain may seem in the coming weeks, I swear to you, you will have the knack of finding a graceful path through it. All you have to do is mimic the consistency and flow of the water.

ARIES (March 21 to April 19):
Herman Hesse’s novel Siddhartha is a story about a spiritual seeker who goes in search of enlightenment. Near the end of the search, when Siddhartha is purified and enlightened, he says to his friend: “I needed sin, lust, vanity, the effort for goods and the most shameful despair, to learn to love the world, to stop comparing the world with any world that I want, with any perfection that occurs to me; I learned to let the world be as it is, to love it and to belong to it with joy ”. Although I trust that you will not go overboard with sinful things in the coming months, Aries, I hope you will come to a conclusion like Siddhartha’s. Astrological omens suggest that 2021 is the best year for you to learn to love your life and the world as it is.

TAURUS (from April 20 to May 20):
Taurus physicist Richard Feynman said: “If we want to solve a problem that we have never solved before, we must leave the door to the unknown ajar.” It’s always good advice, but it’s especially appropriate for you in the weeks ahead. You are being given an interesting and fun opportunity to solve a problem that you have never solved before! Make sure you leave the door to the unknown ajar. Clues and answers can come from unexpected sources.

GEMINI (from May 21 to June 20):
When we want to get a different look at a dim star, we should take our eyes off it just a little. If we look directly at it, it becomes invisible. (There is a scientific explanation for this phenomenon, which I will not go into.) I propose that we make this your metaphor for power for the next few weeks. Continue with the assumption that if you want to glimpse what is in the distance or in the future, don’t look directly at it. Use the psychological version of your peripheral vision. And yes, now is a good time to look for those sparkles.

CANCER (from June 21 to July 22):
If the apocalypse happens and you are the last human left on earth, don’t worry about eating enough. Just find an intact grocery store and make your new home there. You have enough non-perishable food to feed him for 55 years, or 63 years if he’s willing to eat pet food. Joking! IT’S A JOKE! In fact, the apocalypse won’t happen for 503 million years. My purpose in imagining such a crazy scenario is to push you to dissolve your thought of scarcity. Here’s the ironic fact of the matter for us Cancerians: If we indulge in terrifying fantasies about running out of things (money, resources, love, or time), we undermine our efforts to get enough of what we need. Now is the right time for you to stop worrying and instead take strong action to ensure you stay well stocked for a long time.

LEO (July 23 to August 22):
“Judge a moth by the beauty of its candle,” writes Coleman Barks in his interpretation of a poem by Rumi. In keeping with astrological omens, I invoke that thought as a helpful metaphor for your life right now. How beautiful and noble are the goals you are pursuing? How exalted and big-hearted are the dreams you are focused on? If you find that there are less than beautiful aspects to your motivating symbols and ideals, now is a good time to make adjustments.

VIRGO (from August 23 to September 22):
I invite you to try the following experiment. Pick two situations in your world that really need reinventing themselves and let all the other glitches and annoyances slide for now. Then ponder with tender ferocity on the best way to perform the transformations. Summoning intense focus will generate what amounts to magic! PS: Maybe the desired reinventions require other people to modify their behavior. But your own behavior may also need to be modified.

LIBRA (from September 23 to October 22):
Author Marguerite Duras wrote these words: “That she had so completely recovered her sanity was a source of sadness for her. You should never be cured of your passion. “I am spiritually allergic to that idea. It implies that our deepest passions are not available unless we are crazy, or at least disturbed. But in the world I aspire to live in, the opposite is true: Our passions thrive if we are mentally healthy. We are better able to tap into our most inspiring motivations if we feel balanced and stable. So I am here to urge you to reject Duras’s perspective and accept mine. The time has come for you to explore the mysteries of relaxing passion.

ESCORPION (from October 23 to November 21):
Author Karen barad writes: “The past never ends. It cannot be wrapped like a bundle or scrapbook; we never leave it and it never leaves us behind. “I agree. That is why I cannot understand the New Age teachers who advise us to” live in the now. “That is impossible! We are always embedded in our stories. What we do is conditioned by our life history. I recognize that it is valuable to try to see the world anew at each new moment. I am a strong advocate of adopting a “beginner’s mind.” But pretending we can completely disconnect or escape from Past is wishful thinking and foolishness. Thank you for listening to my spiel, Scorpio. Now please take some quality time to update your love and appreciation for your own past. Time to celebrate where you came from and ponder how your story affects who are you now.

SAGITTARIUS (from November 22 to December 21):
Luisah teish is a writer and priestess in the Yoruban Lucumi tradition. She wrote a book called Jump Up: Seasonal Celebrations of the World’s Deep Traditions. “Jump up” is a Caribbean phrase that refers to festive rituals and parties that feature “happy music, laughter, food, and dancing.” According to my reading of astrological omens, a phase infused with the spirit of “jumping” is expected. As Teish would say, it is a time to “jump, touch, swing, jump and kick.” I realize that in order to do this, you will have to circumvent the much-needed constraints that the pandemic imposes on us. Do the best you can. Maybe turn it into a virtual or fantasy jump. Maybe dance alone in the dark.

CAPRICORN (from December 22 to January 19):
“Perhaps we should know better,” wrote the poet Tony hoagland, “But we keep looking, thinking and listening, looking for that singular book, theory, perception or tonality that will unlock and liberate us.” It is my duty to inform Capricorn that there will most likely not be such a singular magnificence for you in 2021. However, I am pleased to tell you that an accumulation of smaller treasures could ultimately lead to substantial unlocking and releasing. For that to happen, you need to be vigilant and appreciate the little treasures, and collect them patiently. (PS: Author Rebecca Solnit says, “We devour heaven in bites too small to measure.” I say: The little bites of Heaven you devour over the next few months will ultimately become dramatically measurable.)
