Going out the night before Thanksgiving? Here’s a makeup guide so you can look fab all throughout the night!

A hardcore night before thanksgiving needs a makeup look that stays put all night long. It should be able to resist sweat, chronic laughing, a steamy environment, and the blushing of your cheeks from too much alcohol. So without further adieu, here’s your night before thanksgiving makeup guide to help you out!

The Night Before Thanksgiving Makeup Guide You Need Now

1. Moisturize Your Face

One of the first products you should prepare the night before Thanksgiving is a moisturizer. Beer, smoke, and staying up ’til the wee hours of the night will dehydrate your skin. Since you won’t be drinking too much water, prep your skin by giving it the moisture it needs for the whole night.

There are a lot of great moisturizers in the market and Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid Lotion is one of them. I have a couple of Olay products and I can attest to their non-greasiness. They work in many different types of skin, including sensitive. Plus, it has a drugstore price! You can get this for only $16.92 for a pack of 2.

2. Use a Hydrating Primer

A skin hangover primer for a night of drinking? GENIUS! Look fresh and ready for the night with this hydrating primer from Too Faced. It’s composed of healthy skin ingredients including probiotics for a quick skin hangover cure. It’s a cult favorite.

It also keeps your makeup put together more beautifully! There’s very little chance someone will know you’ve been out and about one bar after the other. This plus your go-to foundation, a bit of baking, and you’re good for the night!

3. Go Bold

The night before Thanksgiving is a busy night of drinking full of new people to meet. *winks* Thus, I would recommend keeping your look bold and glam. How do you do it? Two ways– go all out or focus on one area of your face.

If you want to highlight your lips, add a pop of red or similar shades. Go for the shades that are the best this season.

glam hairstyle can also work on its own as a statement. Keep your skin plain with a few touches of lashes, liner, and lips, and you’re done!

4. Make Eyeliner Your Bestfriend

I have to say that eyeliners are my best friends both for the night before Thanksgiving AND during Thanksgiving–because going through bars and cooking turkey after Drinksgiving are hard tasks my makeup needs to come through from.

For your look, you can put on a smokey eyeshadow paired with a classic feline flick and dramatic lashes.

One of the best recommendations I have for you is the Stila Liquid Eyeliner, which is an all-day wear product that won’t budge! It looks polished and creates a sexy winged look. It’s also easy to use and remove.

5. Waterproof Mascara Should Be Your Next Bestfriend

For your mascara, I suggest you choose waterproof the Maybelline New York Volum’ Express The Falsies Flared Waterproof Mascara is one of the new mascaras from this makeup powerhouse. It creates a beautiful, long and curled lash effect and promises not to smudge while you sweat through the bars the night before thanksgiving.

Maybelline is well known for its mascaras. In fact, their oldest mascara product has been around for more than 35 years, which means it’s a trustworthy company. Not only that, their products are affordable so you don’t have any excuse not to buy one today.

6. Wear Your Festive Makeup

The night before Thanksgiving is the perfect time to show off your makeup skills and to try those makeup tutorials on youtube.  You can have any look you want. You can make it smoky, shimmery, highlighted to the gods, and colorful. I prefer something festive, which is like a combination of all that I mentioned, it’s bright, bold, and colorful! To achieve the look, you need a couple of things.

First, you need a great eyeshadow palette. The KyShadow Bronze Palette is a good choice, particularly if you can’t get your hands on her burgundy palette. It’s smooth, there are many shades you can mix, and it’s buildable.

Then you line your upper lids with glitter! Urban Decay has a fantastic selection of glitter eyeliners to choose from.

7. Find a Gorgeous Longwearing Lipstick

Of course, any makeup look wouldn’t be complete without lipstick. Keep it bold and festive by wearing either brighter or deeper shades. I suggest wearing matte formulas so you only need minimal retouching for the night.

With that said, I highly recommend the Dose of Colors liquid matte lipsticks. They have a wide range of lipsticks from nude to bold shades. My favorite for parties is Brick, the perfect brown-based vampy rep lip shade for a night out.

If you’re not feeling the matte vibe, Mac Cosmetics has a great range of other finishes that glides smoothly on the lips and creates a nice sheen, so you may forego a lipgloss. (PS: Find Mac expensive? Here are equally great choices.)

Ola, ladies! Are you busy prepping for Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales? What exactly are your plans? For me, my family’s coming over instead of us going to them which is awesome because I get to host my own dinner. It’s gonna be pretty stressful but I’m totally excited to prepare everything!

I also need to make sure I am ready for shopping the next day. If you don’t have your wishlist ready yet, then keep your tabs on where the sales are happening right here. But we all know the festivities don’t start on Thanksgiving, right?

Before that, we have Blackout Wednesday AKA Drinksgiving. While this is a truly fun time, it can also give us a rather bad skin hangover. Back in my days, Blackout Wednesday was a huge deal–well, it still is if it weren’t for the pandemic. We had a lot of fun going to different bars, unwinding, drinking, relaxing, talking, and doing a few pranks on random people when we had too much to drink.
