Welcome to February, Sagittarius! Last month, Mercury retrograde tempted you to reach out to your ex, but hopefully, you stayed strong. Mercury retrograde continues into this month, and you should continue to sext someone worth your time. You’re quite charismatic, and tend to be the life of the party (even when we’re not allowed to go to parties) — never forget the power of your charm. You don’t need to go looking for attention in unhealthy places. However, the unfamiliar can be scary, and telling a new crush about your feelings can be hard. When lover planet Venus enters Aquarius and your 3rd House of Communication, on Monday, February 1, you get the push you need to open up.

The thing is, sometimes you mistake vulnerability for weakness. Talking about emotions breeds intimacy, which strengthens bonds, and it’s likely that the person you’re into doesn’t know how what they mean to you if you haven’t told them. People can’t read minds, and sharing is the only way to advance the relationship. You’re an intellectual sign, dear Sag, so use the first week of the month to plan out what you’re going to say. Astrologically, there’s a new moon, which represents new beginnings and marks an ideal time to express yourself, on Thursday, February 11.

On Wednesday, February 17, innovative Uranus, which is in reliable Taurus, squares strict Saturn, which is in eccentric Aquarius. This is the first of three times these planets clash this year. On a global level, we can view this transit in the face-off between conservative and progressive politics. For your sign, this transit causes your 6th House of Health with your 3rd House of Communication. This could mean you need to set strict boundaries regarding social distancing and COVID-19 to keep yourself and your loved ones safe. Emotionally, this square reminds you to continue to express your feelings to ensure that you get everything you need to keep your emotional and mental well-being stays in tip-top shape.

Psychic Pisces season begins the next day on Thursday, February 18. It’s a great time to start a meditation practice or work with a therapist to seek clarity. Keep a notebook by your bed to jot down messages that come to you in dreams. The overall theme of February is making sure that you hone your communication skills, and when Mercury retrograde ends on Saturday, February 20, you will have an easier time expressing yourself. Annoyances and delays in your professional life should soon smooth out as well.

Venus — the planet of romance, abundance, and beauty — leaves Aquarius and enters Pisces on Thursday, February 25, lighting up your 4th House of Home. Your love life is leveling up, Sag, and partners could become so important that they start to feel like family. That is, as long as you tell them that you like them back. Whether it’s over an intimate virtual chat, by finally getting back on dating apps, or by making love IRL with a trusted partner, use the full moon in Virgo on Saturday, February 27 to bathe in love. See you in March!

We know many of you may be feeling worried, frightened, or isolated right now. Although the stars don’t have answers to the multitude of questions running through all of our minds, astrology may at least provide some comfort during times of uncertainty. We urge you to donate to one or all of these organizations if you’re able to. If you can’t, we created a guide to ways you can support the BLM movement other than financially.
