Review: Mudmasky Leave Me On Mask Is Totally Transparent

My combination complexion likes to roll with the seasons, shinny and greasy in the summer, but dry as hell come winter. When it gets cold, I shelve my clay masks and, instead, heavily moisturize my problematic areas (chin and laugh lines) with hydrating moisture-locking masks and mists. Lately, I’ve been gravitating towards MudMasky Leave-Me On Winter Mask.

I use to think the only semi-appropriate place to throw on a face mask in public was an airplane, (and the Allure office), but with this cream to transparent gel-textured winter mask, I can mask all day long, even in public (just don’t layer it underneath a cotton face-covering, as anything wet can interfere withface coverings’ efficacy). You can apply this alone or layer on top of your favorite moisturizer. For me, I like to mix with a few drops of hyaluronic serum before generously spreading over my face, and I mean generously. The texture is soft and has a white appearance to it, but as soon as the cream touches your skin, it begins to sink in and absorb, leaving no residue nor does it pill. The star ingredients include three different  oils (safflower, macadamia seed, jojoba) and soybean, which is jam-packed with vitamin E — perfect for fighting environmental stressors like extreme temperature changes (like going from a warm and heated indoor area to the cold and windy outdoors).

This Winter Mask has been a game-changer for my dry-in-the-winter skin. Whether I use it overnight or as an all-day hydration remedy, I notice my skin feels plump and soft. You can grab your own sample of the mask to try out for yourself in our December Allure Beauty Box.
