Pixi Beauty LipGlow Tinted Lip Balm Gives Me a Lovely My-Lips-but-Better Hue | Review

My work-from-home routine is minimal for a person who typically leaves the house with random shapes or animals painted around my eyes. Before hopping on Zoom for an interview, a meeting, or Korean tutoring, I usually tie my hair up into a messy bun and swipe on Pixi Beauty LipGlow. That’s about it.

Tinted lip balm is my favorite way to look like a professional business woman — even when I have nothing else on but glasses and a concert tee I got in the parking lot for $5. (Pants are optional, of course.) Something about the sheer crimson tint of the Ruby LipGlow makes my skin-care routine look like it’s actually working. The barely there color brings out the glow in my cheeks and helps me look more awake with just a simple swipe. As soon as I turn on my video on Zoom, I look radiant and casually cool. I don’t even have to put on mascara or a real shirt.

Housed in a slim, green tube, the LipGlow has just the right amount of pigment and its slanted tip makes it easy to apply without peering into your computer’s fuzzy camera to check your work via Zoom. It has an invigorating minty scent that I always welcome in a balm. It’s also spiked with shea and mango seed butters to help smooth away flakes and nourish lips for a full day of Zooms. I don’t have to reach for the tube between meetings. My lips stay plump, moist, and stained with a lovely my-lips-but-better hue.
