By Luxury Mexican Hotel Chain Velas Resorts Thanks 100 Healthcare Heroes With All-Inclusive Vacations
These days, heroes come with face masks instead of capes, but a chain of luxury resorts in Mexico has rewarded 100 healthcare superheroes with free spa vacations to thank them for their big hearts during the global pandemic.
The past year of COVID has shown his professionalism, stamina, and determination to help others.
As a token of appreciation for all their hard work, and even putting their lives at risk, Velas Resorts is giving 100 health heroes a well-deserved vacation on a Mexican beach.
During April, the public voted for their favorite stories out of 350 nominations, choosing who would have the opportunity for an all-inclusive 4-day, 3-night stay at the luxury resort, with food and drinks prepared by its top chefs and restaurants.
The campaign, called “Let’s Be Thankful,” uncovered moving and inspiring stories, including that of M. Snider, a nurse practitioner and mother of two daughters, ages 3 and 5, who has worked extra shifts to cover for her colleagues who have Covid. -19, causing her to waste valuable time with her children in their younger years.
The voting period closed on April 30 and last week the 100 heroes were announced, who received their vouchers for the Velas Vallarta resort in Puerto Vallarta. Other Velas resort properties include Los Cabos (pictured below), Riviera Maya, and Riviera Nayarit.
The Mexican airline Aeroméxico joined the initiative to give away roundtrip flights for the chosen medical personnel.
Carlos Alberto Espinoza Casillas was one of the winners. His nomination included a photo describing the neurosurgeon’s habit of wearing a special Batman-embellished suit that he created to give his patients hope.
The nomination for Dra. Vanessa Hernandez from Monterrey, Mexico He read, “She became our own ‘Dr. Fauci, ‘providing clear guidance and directives, administering hundreds of COVID tests, executing contact tracing operations and keeping our operation (with 1000 employees) running and safe, preserving the well-being and livelihood of our employees ”.
“She has worked tirelessly for the last year, even when her husband was hospitalized with COVID. As a frequent visitor to the Velas resorts, I know she would love it and she deserves a few days in paradise. “
