Kylie Jenner’s New “October Claws” Are the Perfect Wine-Colored Shade for Fall — See the Photos

Nail chameleon Kylie Jenner is back with a brand-new manicure — and it might just be her most fall-appropriate look yet. Rather than going for a French manicure, which she’s been a huge fan of since last year, the makeup mogul went with a solid-color style in a deep, moody merlot shade that’s spot-on for the season.

The 24-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder debuted the look on — where else? — Instagram this Saturday evening with “OCTOBER CLAWS” written alongside it in all caps. Like the majority of her manicures lately, she opted for a stiletto shape and medium-long length. Additionally, from what we can tell, it appears she’s wearing a matte polish, as there’s zero shine or shimmer in sight.

To score a similar look at home, try painting your nails with a deep reddish-purple hue, such as OPI’s Malaga Wine or Deborah Lippmann’s Single Ladies — then apply a matte topcoat like Sally Hansen’s Big Matte Top Coat for a shine-free finish.

Of course, knowing Jenner, she’ll likely have a new manicure within the next few days — if not even sooner. One reason for this is she sometimes likes to match her manicures to her outfits. Case in point: On Saturday night, she wore a Givenchy ensemble from the new collection by Matthew M. Williams and it featured a maroon cape, so there’s a good chance she wanted her nails to complement the look.
