KraveBeauty’s Great Barrier Relief Is My Go-To Serum fo Soothing Redness — Review

As someone with highly reactive, redness-prone skin, I have no idea how I’ve been sleeping on KraveBeauty’s Great Barrier Relief Serum for so long. (Thank you, Hyram, for putting it on my radar.) I’ve only been using this serum for a matter of weeks, but I can already tell you without hesitation that it’s one of the best soothing skin-care treatments I’ve ever tried, and I do not drop a statement like that lightly.

Put simply, it does exactly what it claims to do, and that is to calm, condition, and brighten up the skin without clogging pores or causing irritation. And well, to be completely honest, that’s all I’m really looking for when it comes to skin care. So how does it do it? With a blend of nourishing oils — including safflower seed, tamanu, and rosehip — as well as ceramides, which help to lock in moisture, niacinamide, glycerin, and squalane.

As you can see, I have naturally reddish-pink undertones, so even on a “happy skin day,” I’ll still look a little rosy. I actually like this, though, so I’m pumped that this serum doesn’t completely cancel the rosiness out. Instead, the creamy elixir leaves my complexion calm and hydrated with a subtle glow that lasts for hours. I simply pat it onto damp skin as soon as I step out of the shower, and it takes care of any tightness and irritation. It also just feels super lovely on the skin, and obviously, there’s something to be said for that.

Since getting my hands on Great Barrier Relief a few weeks back, I’ve basically put all of my other serums on the back shelf. If you, too, struggle with redness and irritation due to environmental stressors or a skin condition like eczema, definitely give this guy a shot. You can shop it now for $28 on kravebeauty.com.
