iS Clinical’s Cleansing Complex Leaves My Skin Bright, Smooth, and Never Stripped

I was first introduced to iS Clinical’s Cleansing Complex by Shani Darden, who named it one of her daily staples in Allure’s guide to aesthetician’s skin-care routines. At the time, I was on the hunt for a new cleanser that would gently exfoliate my chronically scaly skin without leaving it raw and irritated, and well, it tuned out to be exactly what I was looking for — and more.

This slippery gel formula is unique in that it’s both clarifying and intensely hydrating, which has always been hard for me to find in the past. In addition to hydrators like glycerin and betaine, it also contains vitamins C, A, and E, as well as salicylic acid and white willow bark, which both aid in exfoliation and unclogging pores. On the soothing front, it’s made with healing and free radical-fighting antioxidants derived from chamomile and cica, which both have calming properties.

Much to my surprise (and delight), I noticed a significant improvement in my skin immediately after using the gentle gel cleanser for the first time. All of the flakes on my skin’s surface were gone, and my skin looked visibly brighter, smoother, and less irritated, too. I distinctly remember feeling in awe of the results, as I’d never had a face wash that made such a difference in my skin before — especially right off the bat.

I’ve now been using isClinical’s Cleansing Complex for over a year and can’t imagine it not being a part of my routine. I’ve been through several bottles, and while it doesn’t come cheap at $44, it’s worth it for me because it’s so damn effective. You also only need a dime-sized dollop for your entire face and neck, so a little definitely goes a long way.

All this to say: If you’ve been searching for a gentle cleanse that’s great for all skin types (even ultra-sensitive), definitely consider treating yourself to this one. You can shop it now for $44 on dermstore.com — or $37 when you subscribe to get it monthly.
