How to Spend the Full Strawberry Supermoon in Capricorn on Thursday, June 24

There’s a full moon in Capricorn coming on Thursday, June 24, and it’s one of the most powerful astrological days of the year. According to The Old Farmer’s Almanac, the Algonquin, Ojibwe, Dakota, and Lakota peoples, among others, call it the “strawberry moon” because it happens around the same time that berries are ready to be gathered. Full moons are a powerful time for manifestation, culmination, and the realization of our goals. Here’s more about the Full Strawberry Moon, plus how to spend it.

The Full Strawberry Moon Is a Supermoon

During a supermoon, the moon will appear larger than normal, like a big disco ball lighting up the sky. The giant moon peaks at 2:40 pm ET, but of course, that will be daylight for most of us. However, you can still see it after sunset in the southeastern sky. Sadly, the moon won’t actually look strawberry pink, but it will have a golden hue if you catch it during the first 20 minutes after sunset.

There have actually been several supermoons this year. This spring brought the Super Pink Moon in Scorpio on Monday, April 26, and the Super Flower Moon in Sagittarius on Wednesday, May 26. The Super Strawberry Moon completes the cycle of three. It’s the last full moon of the spring and the final supermoon of 2021.

What a Full Moon in Capricorn Means

Capricorn is a misunderstood sign. Sometimes people assume it’s a sign of all work and no play, but the truth is that Capricorn embodies the “work hard, play hard” mentality. It’s true that these sea goats are often hard-working professionals, which is why this full moon may bring great monetary or professional news, so circle Thursday, June 24 in your calendar. Capricorn is also represented by the Devil card in the tarot, which can refer to consensually enjoying your vices, whether that means foregoing all your professional responsibilities and taking a long weekend after a period of hard work or trying a new kink in the bedroom.
