On January 27, popstar Halsey announced that they were pregnant via an Instagram carousel, showing off their growing baby bump, dark-brown buzz cut, and green eye makeup. Since their announcement, they have shared plenty of photos during their pregnancy — and even proved that a leopard bodycon dress can be perfect maternity wear. We were even able to shoot the 26-year-old star in full baby-bump glory for our August 2021 cover that looked absolutely gorgeous. Now, we’re happy to report that their little bundle of joy is finally here.
They shared a beautiful, candid photo featuring themself, the newborn baby, and boyfriend Alev Aydin, with their 25.2 million Instagram followers on July 19. In the photo, they are lying on the bed with the little baby on their stomach, wrapped in blankets and a tiny striped hat while Aydin stares lovingly at the duo. They sport box braids tied up with a large scrunchie, and honestly, it’s a perfect no-fuss style for pregnancy.
In the caption, they wrote, “Gratitude. For the most ‘are’ and euphoric birth. Powered by love.” They also included their little baby’s name, which is Ender Ridley Aydin, and shared that they were born five days prior on July 14.
It’s surely no easy feat being pregnant or giving birth during a pandemic, but we are ecstatic to see that all went well for Halsey and Aydin. For now, we hope they both get all the rest they need while spending time loving on their new baby Ender.
