Gabrielle Union Debuts New Pixie Haircut with Natural Curls — See Photos, Video

When it comes to beauty, Gabrielle Union does not play by the rules, and, frankly, we’re always here for it. The actress and cofounder of hair-care brand Flawless by Gabrielle Union has shown us that it’s more than OK to attend the Emmy Awards wearing a shower cap and to also show off a retainer on Instagram.

Once again, the actress is defying long-held beauty standards surrounding women’s hair with a new short haircut. On Saturday, July 24, Union posted several photos on Instagram as well as a TikTok video showing off her short, natural curls. The sentimental captions that accompany both the photos and the video reveal why she’s made this monumental change.

“So, I did a thing. The movies always show women cutting their hair when all is lost but I wanted to know the feeling of making a change when things are gravy. It hits different and its foreign to me but I [heart] this new new. #SummerChop #FlawlessChop #FlawlessCut,” Union writes on Instagram.

In her TikTok video, she shows fans the process behind her new cut. Halfway through the video, Union shows off the final look and poses in front of the camera wearing a grey bodycon dress that appears to be embellished with little pearls. The footage then cuts to the streets of New York City, where she gets out of a car, smiles and all, and struts down a sidewalk with her new ‘do.

Needless to say, hairstylist Larry Sims (who is also Union’s business partner and cofounder of Flawless) did very, very well. Sims really worked his magic on these natural curls, and we can’t wait to see Union (hopefully) post more selfies of this stunning look. You look fab, Gab.
