First Grader Wrote to Old Navy Asking for Girls’ Jeans to Have Pockets —And They Sent Her 4 Pairs

Evening Star Elementary School

A girl recently wrote to Old Navy asking them to pocket girls’ jeans, and her power of persuasion appears to have worked.

Kamryn Gardner from Arkansas wrote to his favorite clothing brand because he was learning how to write persuasive letters in first grade. She said the actual pockets should be on the girls’ jeans. More specifically, she wrote:

“Dear Old Navy, I don’t like the front pockets of girls’ jeans to be fake. I want front pockets because I want to put my hand in them. I would also like to put things in them. Would you consider making jeans for girls with front pockets that are not fake? Thanks for reading my application. Sincerely, Kamryn Gardner, age 7 “.
