Dermelect’s Beauty Sleep Serum Is Packed With Exfoliating Ingredients | Review

I hate to say this but the Dermelect Self Esteem Beauty Sleep Serum might do it all. Before you roll your eyes let me get into why. I have been dealing with acne and enlarged pores for a few months now (blame the stress). So, when I try a new skin product, it has to have some exfoliating ingredients that’ll unclog and minimize pores.

This serum contains salicylic and glycolic acid, which are known for helping with congestion. Together they address my acne, blackheads, and promote cell turnover. The tiny bumps I tend to get around on my chin and nose have gone down significantly since I started using this serum. I’ve even noticed fewer blackheads on my nose.

On top of those two powerhouse exfoliating ingredients, it’s also formulated vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. As someone who is extremely prone to lingering dark spots, I  make sure to include some sort of vitamin C product in my routine. L-Ascorbic Acid, the type of vitamin C in this serum, is the gold standard in skin care because it’s the most stable form. It helps fade dark spots and protects skin from free radicals found in pollution. The hyaluronic acid (HA) seals the deal for because it holds up to a thousand times its weight in water and prevents moisture from evaporating into the air.

The Self Esteem Beauty Sleep Serum blends all of my favorite ingredients into one overnight formula. It does have a faint scent, but it’s not synthetic. I use about a whole dropper at night after I cleanse. I apply it all over and down my neck. If it’s the summer months, I even bring it down to my chest. I can’t say it’s raised my self-esteem, but my skin has been looking brighter and smoother.

You’ll find the Dermelect Self Esteem Beauty Sleep Serum in our November 2020 Allure Beauty Box.
