Betsey Johnson is one of the most celebrated designers in fashion history, not just because of the unshrinkingly fun ensembles she sends down the runway, but because of her own colorful, sparkly, punk personal style. It’s instantly recognizable due to both her outfits and her beauty look, which has always involved bold makeup; her perpetually vibrant lip is almost always accompanied by dark liner and shadow. And now, Johnson has made emulating her beauty vibe easier than ever with a new makeup collection.
Called Luv Betsey, the Walmart-exclusive products make their remarkably affordable debut this week. According to a press release, everything in the collection is priced at $10. And that $10 doesn’t get you just a single lipstick or one little eye shadow single; it gets you generous sets and palettes.
Said palettes include the Highlighter Palette with three universally flattering shades in adorable heart-shaped pans, and the 12-shade Eyeshadow Palette packed with both neutral and vibrant shades in matte and shimmery finishes. And if that’s not shimmering enough for your tastes, there’s the Glitter Palette, with the sparkliest possible versions of white, purple, silver, pink, blue, and gold.
There’s lots of lip color to go ‘round, too, like with the Lip Gloss Shimmers and Lip Gloss Creams sets, both of which offer three fabulous shades in their respective finishes. But we can’t stop thinking about the Lipstick Set, which features four shades — Rock On (honey), Fierce (mauve), Vintage (berry), and Punk (red) — that look so Betsey.
You can complete her signature look with the Black Mascara & Eyeliner Duo, which builds so serious lash volume and lines eyes with an easy-gliding gel formula. And while you’re at it, smell a little more like Johnson, too, with the new Betseyfied fragrance, which layers citrus, wild berries, passionfruit, jasmine, lily of the valley, gardenia, honeysuckle, caramel, amber, vanilla, and musk in a cradle of patchouli.
Most of the new Luv Betsey by Betsey Johnson makeup collection is now available at walmart.com.
