These complementary dresses and accessories took couturiers more than 330 hours to design and embellish by hand, with 5,000 Swarovski crystals and crystal beads added to the dolls.

The auction closed last night and has been a resounding success, with one-of-a-kind items raising $ 880,400 for charity.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds from this auction will go to support the Toy Express Program of the Children’s First Aid Foundation, an initiative designed to spread joy among the children of the people who are on the front lines of COVID-19 in all of the United States.

Mattel is also donating more than $ 1 million in retail value of toys to the program this holiday season, as well as American Girl dolls and other popular Mattel products, from Hot Wheels to Barbie to Mega Bloks.

These toys will be distributed to thousands of first responder families, including nurses, firefighters, police officers, EMTs, paramedics, medical personnel and 911 dispatchers who risk their health every day by serving their local communities across the country.

“As the holidays approach, we know it is more important than ever to show our gratitude to the dedicated first responders of our country who have contributed and sacrificed so much to help our friends, families and communities this year,” said Jamie Cygielman , general manager of American Girl, in a statement.
