Penguin in Antarctica Leaps into Passing Tourist Boat – Enjoys the Respite (WATCH)

An eager penguin jumped into a tourist boat and stayed on board for 10 minutes to enjoy the view over the water with the other passengers.

Polar guide John Bozinov was leading a tour of the Ross Sea in Antarctica when a single chinstrap penguin made a couple of attempts to jump aboard his Zodiac craft.

The 30-year-old turned off the engine to make it easier for the animal to jump and finally landed successfully on the side of the boat alongside one of the passengers.

The speculation is that the penguin was possibly trying to avoid predators in the water, such as leopard seals and killer whales, especially since after jumping off the boat, he jumped onto another boat piloted by John’s colleague Steve Reynolds.
