FREE WILL ASTROLOGY – Week beginning April 23, 2021

TAURUS (from April 20 to May 20):
Some traditional Buddhist monks sit on the streets of Asian cities with a “begging bowl” in front of them. It is a clay or iron container that they use to request money and food from passers-by who want to support them. Contemporary American poet Mariannne boruch he considers the begging bowl as a metaphor that helps him generate new poems. Adopt the attitude of the empty container, waiting for the instructions and inspiration of life to guide your creative inquiry. This allows her to “avoid too much self-obsession and navel-gaze” and be receptive, “without any agenda other than the usual wonder and bewilderment.” I recommend the begging bowl approach as you begin the next phase of your journey, Taurus.

GEMINI (from May 21 to June 20):
Born in Gemini Paul gaugin (1848-1903) is today considered an innovative and influential painter. But his early years provided little indication that he would eventually become famous. As a teenager, he attended naval preparatory school and later joined the French navy. At 23 he became a stockbroker. Although he also began dabbling as a painter at that time, it wasn’t until the stock market crashed 11 years later that he made the decision to be a full-time painter. Is there a Gauguin-like turning point in your future, Gemini? If so, your first signs could appear soon. This pivot won’t be as dramatic or stressful as Gauguin’s, but I bet it will be quite exhilarating.

CANCER (from June 21 to July 22):
A research team found that some people pray for things they are reasonably sure God would not approve of. In a sense, they are trying to trick the Creator into giving them treats that they are not supposed to receive. Have you ever done that? Are you trying to trick life into offering you blessings that you are not sure you deserve? The next few weeks will be an auspicious time for you to dare to perform such ploys. I do not guarantee that it will be successful, but the chances that it will succeed are much higher than usual. The universe is quite relaxed and generous with you right now.

LEO (July 23 to August 22):
In 2013, the New Zealand government decided to rectify the fact that its two main islands had never received formal names. At the time, he gave each a nickname in both English and Maori: North Island, or north islandand the South Island, or South island. In the spirit of correcting oversights and negligence, and in keeping with current astrological omens, is there any action you would like to take to make yourself more official, professional, or established? The next few weeks will be an auspicious time to do so.

VIRGO (from August 23 to September 22):
Author Grant Morrison note that our heads are “big enough to hold all the gods and demons there ever were. Big enough to support the weight of the oceans and spinning stars. Whole universes fit there! “That is why it is so unfortunate, he says, if we fill our” magic cabinet “with” little broken things, sad trinkets that we play with over and over again. “In keeping with astrological potentials, Virgo, I urge you to get rid of so many trinkets. sad little broken things as you can. Make plenty of room to house expansive visions and wonderful dreams and wonderful possibilities. Time to think big and feel wilder.

LIBRA (from September 23 to October 22):
Libra author bell hooks (who does not capitalize his name) has a nuanced perspective on the nature of our pain. She writes: “Contrary to what we may have been taught, unnecessary and unelected suffering hurts us, but it does not have to mark us for life.” She recognizes that unnecessary and unelected suffering does “mark” us. But we have the power to reshape and transform how it marks us. I believe your wisdom will be helpful for me to exercise in the weeks ahead. You now have additional power to reshape and transform the marks of your old pain. It probably won’t make it go away completely, but you can find new ways to make it serve you, teach you, and ennoble you.

ESCORPION (from October 23 to November 21):
I love people who inspire me to surprise me. I am grateful when an ally provides me with a friendly shock that leads me to question my usual ways of thinking or doing things. I feel lucky when a person I like offers compassionate criticism that takes me out of the rut I’ve been in. Here’s a secret: I don’t always wait passively waiting for events like these to happen. From time to time I actively seek them out. I encourage you. I ask them. In the coming weeks, Scorpio, I invite you to be like me in this regard.

SAGITTARIUS (from November 22 to December 21):
“Where did last year’s lessons go?” question Gillian welch in his song “I Dream a Highway”. Now I ask you the same question, just in time for the Recall Phase of last year’s lessons of your cycle. In my astrological opinion, it is crucial for you to remember and reflect deeply on the breakdowns and breakthroughs you experienced in 2020; in every spiritual emergency and spiritual emergency you endured; in all the terrifying trials you endured and all the sacred paths you trod.

CAPRICORN (from December 22 to January 19):
Capricorn Painter Henri Matisse he had a revolutionary influence on 20th century art, in part due to his strident use of color. Early in his career he belonged to the movement known as Fauvism, derived from the French term for “wild beasts.” During his later years, he invented a new genre very different from his previous work: large, brightly colored cutout paper collages. The subject, according to critic Jed Perl, included “jungles, goddesses, oceans, and the heavens” and “dazzling signs and symbols” drawn from the depths of “Matisse’s luminosity.” I offer him as a role model for you, Capricorn, because I think it’s a perfect time to be, as Perl describes Matisse, both “a stubborn problem solver and a feverish dreamer.”

AQUARIUS (from January 20 to February 18):
“The guiding motto in the life of every natural philosopher should be: ‘Seek simplicity, but distrust it.’ Aquarius Philosopher Alfred North Whitehead wrote that, and now I propose that you use it as your motto for the next few weeks, even if you are not a natural philosopher. Why? Because I suspect that you will prosper if you simplify your life. You will improve your well-being if you trust your instinctual nature more and avoid getting lost in convoluted thoughts. On the other hand, it is important not to dive so deeply into minimalism that it becomes superficial, sloppy, or unimaginative.

PISCES (from February 19 to March 20):
In ancient Greek comic theater, there was a common character known as the eiron. He was a cunning underdog who outwitted and triumphed over boastful selfies by pretending to be naive. Could you be interested in borrowing from that technique in the next few weeks? I think you are more likely to be successful if you approach victory indirectly or laterally, and don’t get bogged down trying to persuade skeptics and force-resisters. Be cautious, discreet and strategic, Pisces. Let everyone think they’re smart and strong if that helps ensure your vision of how things should be ultimately wins out.

ARIES (March 21 to April 19):
Blogger Emma Elsworthy wrote her “Self-Care List.” I’ll tell you about some of its 57 action items, hoping to inspire you to create your own list. The next few weeks will be a perfect phase to improve your focus on doing what makes you feel healthy and holy. Here are Elsworthy’s ideas: Get in the habit of cooking yourself a beautiful breakfast. Organize your room. Clean your mirror and your laptop. Lie down in the sun. Become the person you would ideally fall in love with. Walk with a straight posture. Stretch your body. Challenge yourself not to judge or ridicule anyone for an entire day. Take a luxurious shower with your favorite music. Remember your dreams. Fantasize about the life you would lead if failure didn’t exist.
